In 1880 the first Catholic Church was built on Hawley. In 1891 a new church was built. In 1898 the Catholic Church was at 691 Main Street. The first one was moved to the 1200 block of Hawley. The original church was moved to east Young park. In 1900 a Catholic Church opened on Young and Seventh Street. In 1952 the old Catholic Church was torn down. In 1955 the Catholic Church was built on Stevens Street and is still there today.
