In 1858 the post office began. When the town began the post office was moved to the 600 block of Young Street. The Post office was in Roberts and Son Meat Market, then Rulon Grocery Store In 1914 mail was delivered by automobile. The Post Office began on 600 block of Young Streer. The building was operated in the Jesup State Bank building. In 1956 it was moved to 681 Young Street. In 1963 the zip code 50648 was assigned to the Post Office. In 1967 a building was construction at the corner of Young and Main.
