St. Athanasius Timeline

In 1949 a Catholic parochial grade was built for eight grades. Five nuns and two teachers taught 275 students. In 1951, an addition was built on the first floor with the second floor for seventh and eighth graders. In 1955, a second addition was built including a gym, lunchroom, kitchen, and band room. In 1959, three classrooms were added. The new additions cost $305,000.

In 2001 an addition was built for kindergarten. Today the catholic school has rooms for grades kindergarten through eight. There is a gym, lunch room, kitchen, library, and computer lab.
